As part of our compliance management system, we aim to identify potential violations at an early stage and prevent them through preventive measures. This enables us to respond promptly to possible misconduct. A central component of this system is our whistleblower system, which was set up in accordance with the requirements of the EU Whistleblowing Directive and the Austrian Whistleblower Protection Act (Hinweisgeberschutzgesetz “HSchG”).
Our whistleblower system is intended for employees and business partners who have noticed compliance violations in connection with RAG or who are personally affected by them.
Our digital whistleblower platform is available for reporting compliance violations. There, you can submit information either anonymously or by providing your contact details. Your information will be treated as strictly confidential. Further information can be found on our whistleblowing platform under "Data protection information."
Our compliance officers are responsible for the entire reporting process in their function as the "internal reporting channel." They treat the information received and any personal data contained therein with the utmost confidentiality. By reporting, you are making an important contribution to the detection and rectification of misconduct and helping us to prevent future violations by taking appropriate measures.
The whistleblowing platform must not be misused for baseless or deliberately false accusations or for defamation. Reports that are obviously unfounded will be rejected and not processed further.
Compliance violations are serious breaches of applicable legal regulations or internal guidelines, or behavior that is degrading or inappropriate toward individuals. These include in particular:
- Labor law and personal rights: discrimination, violence, harassment, bullying
- White-collar crime: corruption, fraud, theft, embezzlement, abuse of trust, and similar criminal acts
- Conflicts of interest
- Financial and capital market offenses: e.g., insider trading or other violations of capital market regulations
- Anti-competetive behavior: market abuse, agreements that violate antitrust law
- Violations of data protection and network and information security
- Contract awarding and procurement procedures
