RAG Diversity

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Diversity is a very high priority in our day-to-day work, and we made this public and in writing by signing the Diversity Charter at the beginning of 2022.

An inclusive and respectful working environment is an integral part of our corporate culture. All employees are welcome here – regardless of age, ethnic origin, nationality, gender and gender identity, physical and mental ability, religion or ideology, sexual orientation or social background.

Diversity is not a buzzword for us, but a real added value: different perspectives, experiences and backgrounds enrich our collaboration and make us stronger and more innovative as #TeamRAG.

We are proud to bear the EqualitA seal of approval. The seal of approval assesses the promotion of women within the company and is awarded to companies that are particularly committed to gender equality.

Discrimination, harassment or bullying have no place at our company. Instead, we focus on mutual respect, openness and trusting cooperation. An open error culture in which everyone feels safe and can express their opinion is a matter of course for us. We rely on trust instead of control. Independence instead of external control. On working together instead of against each other. Mistakes happen and are allowed. We rely on personal initiative and self-confidence and encourage individual organisation of work.

Our aim is to further strengthen awareness of diversity within the RAG family and anchor it in the long term – because we see inclusion in practice as a shared, continuous development process.

Promoting Women

At RAG Austria AG, we have a clear objective: we want to increase the proportion of women in the company – particularly in management roles – in the long term.

Promoting women in technical professions is a key priority for us. We are actively committed to inspiring young female talent to take an interest in technology at an early stage and to showing them the diverse career prospects within the energy sector. Through events such as Vienna’s Daughters’ Day and Girls’ Day in Upper Austria, as well as through collaboration with universities and schools, we raise awareness of our career opportunities and provide practical insights. In addition, we offer a wide range of opportunities for summer internships or degree theses at RAG.

In our recruitment, we place great emphasis on equal opportunities and specifically target women. Where possible, new vacancies are also offered on a part-time basis. We create working conditions that promote flexibility and enable individual development.

Through targeted staff development programmes, we support women in shaping their own career paths, whilst encouraging them to take on specialist and leadership responsibilities. This is complemented by our internal RAG women’s network, which promotes dialogue, networking and the personal development of our female employees. This creates a strong, supportive environment at RAG in which women can realise their potential and play an active role in shaping the future of energy.
