Mag. Dr. Michael Längle appointed new CFO of RAG Rohöl-Aufsuchungs Aktiengesellschaft

Vienna, 16 March 2011: The Supervisory Board of RAG Rohöl-Aufsuchungs Aktiengesellschaft agreed on 10 February 2011 to appoint Mag. Dr. Michael Längle to the Executive Board as Chief Financial Officer, with effect from 1 April 2011. He will take over from Managing Director Dr. Helmut Sitz, who will retire.

Dr. Längle will be in charge of finance and accounting, controlling and planning as well as human resources, procurement and IT. His long-standing experience in the Austrian energy sector and numerous projects abroad will provide substantial support to the innovative corporate development of RAG.

In his previous function, Dr. Längle was Director of group functions Finance and Accounting at EVN AG. He started his professional career as university research assistant and, later on, as university lecturer at the Vienna University of Business Administration and Economics, from where he moved on to auditing and tax consultancy. Having obtained professional qualifications to become tax consultant, Dr. Längle then changed over to the energy industry and joined EVN AG. Over the years, he held key commercial functions and made a significant contribution to the development of the company, in particular regarding its internationalisation and diversification.

Mag. Dr. Michael Längle (born in 1958) holds a degree in business administration from the Vienna University of Business Administration and Economics. He is married and has three children.
