Storage fee calculator
Storage service fees are calculated based on the contracted capacity. For standard services no other factors are included in the fee calculation.
In order to calculate the fees for storage services which differ from standard services, several factors have to be considered. Apart from the required injection and withdrawal capacity, factors such as working gas volume, fixed or flexible utilisation times, seasonal variation, peak storage rates, interruptibility, contractually agreed duration and other extra services required by the customer in a liberalized gas market have to be taken into consideration.
For standard services described below we charge a regular fee. If your requirements differ from the service described below you can contact us in order to find an individual solution.
In any case, a separate agreement has to be concluded for each storage service.
The standard service is defined as follows:
- a) The minimum contract duration is three years.
- b) The contract period is the so-called storage year, starting on. April 1st of each year and ending on March 31st of the following year.
- c) Injection rate = withdrawal rate. Both rates are at least 1,000 m³/h.
- d) Injected volume equals withdrawn volume (= working gas volume).
- e) The maximum working gas volume is calculated as follows: Withdrawal rate x 24 h x 70 days.
In case of constant rates, thus applies formally to leap years only. In non-leap years or in case of unforeseen facility problems or interruptions of injection gas supply, the difference between injection and estimated withdrawal volumes will be compensated during the last two contract weeks in terms of increased or reduced withdrawal rates.
f) The delivery point for injection and withdrawal is the respective metering station at the border to the Control Area East. Alternatively, a delivery point into the international grid at Baumgarten or Oberkappel may be defined.
The fee (excl. VAT, incl. fuel gas) for this standard service (injection and withdrawal rate ≥ 1,000 cubic metres/hour) is calculated using the following formula:
Fy = WITHD x 150
Fy = Fee per year in EURO exclusive of VAT, inclusive of fuel gas
WITHD = Withdrawal capacity (withdrawal rate) in m³/h
The above indicated fee for the described standard service is based on the figures from July 2010 and will be regularly checked and if necessary adjusted by RAG.
We would be pleased to develop an individual solution tailored to your own requirements including additional service components, such as provision of fuel gas, change of delivery points or membership in the balancing group in the Control Area East. Especially the provisions of Austrian law regulations (GWG, BGBl I Nr. 21/2000 idgF) and the market rules should be considered.
