RAG is Austria’s oldest existing crude oil and gas exploration company.
Since its foundation in 1935 and until 2008 RAG has produced a total of 14,7 million tons of crude oil and 23,8 billion scm of natural gas from the concessions in Upper Austria, Salzburg, and Lower Austria.
At the moment, RAG operates 86 oil and 117 gas production wells in Austria.
