Drilling site
The ideal drilling site is located right above the reservoir. However, natural and artificial obstacles such as waterways, forests, communities, and other parts of the infrastructure often necessitate a deviation from the perfect drilling location.
With the help of directional drilling technology reservoirs not located directly below the drilling site can be explored.
Negotiations
Once the drilling site has been settled and the well has been planned the project is filed with Mining Authorities. An official negotiation verifies that the planned well is state-of-the-art well and that all statutory requirements are met.
Drilling method
The drilling project is planned by a multi-disciplinary team of geologists, reservoir, drilling, and facility engineers.
The drilling engineer prepares the plans for the borehole trajectory, drilling and tubing/casing design, cementation, and well test program.
